Arch Month – Huntley Speaks Architectural Tour
April 18

Huntley is located at 6918 Harrison Lane, Alexandria, VA 22306.

How does Historic Huntley’s architecture connect to America’s hard-won independence? Who designed it and for what purpose? Join a historical guide on a walking tour of this Federal style villa and related outbuildings to discover how architecture from the past speaks to us today.

Huntley is a Federal period villa built in 1825 as a summer retreat for Thomson Francis Mason, the mayor of Alexandria from 1827-30 and a grandson of George Mason IV, author of the Virginia Declaration of Rights. Historic Huntley is operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Virginia Landmarks Register, and the Fairfax County Inventory of Historic Sites.
