New Referral List System on www.aianova.org |
In the interest of keeping our referral lists as current as possible, we have moved from downloadable PDFs to a sortable web-based interface. This allows us to make changes much more quickly and has the added benefit of allowing users to link directly to firms' websites from aianova.org.
The firm data and practice area selections were taken from responses to the latest directory survey. If you didn't fill one out, or would like to update your information, please send an email to referrals@aianova.org.
Our listings can contain the following fields for each firm: Firm Name, Address, Website, Contact Name, Contact Email, Phone Number, Number of Personnel and up to five practice areas. If you feel your listing is incomplete, just send us an email with your updates, and we will post them as soon as possible. |

Nuclear Energy Institute
FOX Architects
Washington, DC |
The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) is the policy organization of the nuclear energy and technologies industry that participates in national and global policy-making processes. For its new headquarters location, NEI saw this as an opportunity to refresh its brand identity for the 21st century and create a space that embodies its vision: Clean Air Energy.

Inspired by a visit to a nuclear reactor facility, the 50,000sf design is a manifestation of energy in the physical environment through dramatic colors and bold finishes. On all floors, natural elements such as wood and stone and formative materials such as metal and glass are used throughout to communicate NEI's relationship between nature and technology. To reinforce staff interaction, the design team used copious amounts of glass to communicate the idea of transparency in an open feature stair connecting staff from all three floors. Constructed of steel, glass and floating terrazzo treads, the back-lit stair is a prominent design element that links all floors to the central NEI-borhood Café. The conference room design incorporates technology components and wireless internet service intended for energy efficiency and ease of use. Highlighting the "Clean Air Energy" brand, color palette transparent window film serves as the backdrop for multimedia.
The space invigorated with NEI's signature blue through accent paint and LED lighting, serves as a unifying element and branding opportunity. Depicting NEI's clean energy vision, branding design concepts wove together the movement of energy, influencing the new logo and multimedia within the space.
