Offered as part of the AIA Northern Virginia Women in Architecture 2017 Lecture Series focusing on the theme of Resilience, this lecture features a panel discussion on models of future conditions, methodologies for community engagement and built work designed within the framework of resilience, moderated by Tanya Mejia, Associate AIA, Perkins Eastman Sustainability Specialist. Jennifer Bolstad, Associate AIA, Principal with Local Office Landscape and Urban Design, and Annisia Cialone, Senior Associate at Perkins Eastman, discuss built work post-Sandy. Dr. Victoria Chanse, Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Maryland, and Alexis Goggans, with DC’s Department of Energy & Environment, discuss solutions in community design and forecasting for sea level rise.
