Reagan National Airport Hosts our 2013 Canstruction Competition

The wait was worth it. After some delays this spring, we are very excited to announce that our 2013 Canstruction® Competition will take place at Reagan National Airport, in their new public art space. Our build-out night is Friday, November 1, a perfect time to help stock the shelves at the Arlington Food Assistance Center in time for the holidays.

Canstruction® is an international design competition that invites teams of designers to create structures using canned food. The AIA Northern Virginia Chapter holds a local competition annually, donating all the cans to the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). In recent years, AIA Northern Virginia's Canstruction® competition has become one of AFAC's top donors.

Winners of the AIA Northern Virginia competition are invited to participate in the annual International competition, where our own Samaha Associates took the top overall prize in 2010 with their project "ORANGE you glad you CAN help e-LEMON-ate hunger?"
