AIA Northern Virginia's Seventh Annual Canstruction® Competition The Canstruction® 2010 Call for Entries is now available.
Organized by the Northern Virginia Chapter, with Ballston Common Mall and the Arlington Food Assistance Center, Canstruction® is both a design/build competition and a community service.
Over the last six years, AIA Northern Virginia's Canstruction® has become one of the single largest food drives benefiting the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). Now, more than ever, the donation we collectively make to AFAC is critically important. While the recent decline of the construction market has touched all of our firms and many of our industry friends, there are others in our communities who are struggling even more.
CANSTRUCTION® is a national community service project of the design and construction industry, under the auspices of the Society of Design Administration. National contributors are Avonite, Inc.; badpartners; McCarter & English LLP; NRI; Vooss Hanemann Associates, Inc.; and ABC Imaging.
